I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker because I love creating a safe place where clients can share their narrative. My clients can anticipate being met with compassion as they learn to navigate challenges that may be preventing them from living their best lives. The therapeutic journeys of my clients are driven by their goals and strengths. I also offer clinical supervision for associates and seasoned licensed professionals.
I offer sessions in-person and via telehealth to adults and teens 14 and older.
SOME OF THE EVERYDAY STRUGGLES I CAN HELP WITH INCLUDE:

Let's face it, our work is hard and rewarding but sometimes isolating. It is important to connect with another mental health professional for consultation to ensure we are practicing within our scope and within ethical and legal parameters. Whether you are a new associate right out of grad school or have been working 20 years plus in the mental health field, it is always good practice for mental health professionals to connect with a fellow mental health therapist for case consultations, reviewing ethical dilemmas, exploring modalities and techniques, and making sure you are using self-care practices to prevent burn out.
BACKGROUND AND TRAINING I am a licensed clinical social worker in Oregon (L3018) with more than 10 years of experience treating trauma survivors and supervising clinicians. With over 20 years of working with families—including home visiting programs — I regularly update my supervision training and have completed Lewis & Clark's required 30-hour course. Some of the settings I have worked in have been: non-profit agencies, community mental health, medical setting and group and individual private practice.
During our initial session, we will address what brings you into therapy and what you wish to get out of therapy. If you use insurance, you will have to meet medical necessity. I provide a safe space so clients can feel comfortable sharing their narrative and starting the work to reduce symptoms. I often use Narrative therapy in my practice. We will work at identifying your strengths, explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. Narrative therapy helps people separate their problems from themselves, and I do so in a trauma-informed approach. I also include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among other types of therapy. At this time, I do not write letters for emotional support animals or service dogs. If needing letters of support for disability, please know I must be working with you for a length of time.
Note on finances and insurances.
I am currently in-network with Providence, BCBS, Moda and Aetna and take cash pay. I do offer superbills for out-of-network clients. More insurances to come, please keep checking for updates.
Fee Schedule and Agreement
Waves Counseling LLC has established a fee scale for services provided by all Master’s Level and Licensed Therapists. Clients understand you are required to pay based on your level of insurance coverage. Late cancellation and/or No Show fees are not based on insurance coverage. See service and fee schedule below.
Clients agree you will be held responsible for all co-payments and pay at the time of service. Clients agree you will be responsible to make sure services are within your insurance coverage (in or out of network). Clients agree you will call your insurance to find out your co-pay for services.
Furthermore, if clients receive a service not covered by your insurance (e.g., case management is not covered by most private insurances), client will be held responsible to pay for the service.
Finally, clients agree to report any changes in your insurance coverage as soon as you become aware of them. If your coverage is terminated or does not cover mental health services, you understand you will be held responsible for any fees incurred following the change in coverage.

MY APPROACH AND VALUES:
I use trauma-informed practices when engaging in clinical supervision. I also ensure we are working together so that we may have meaning, satisfaction and joy out of our work.
I am respectful, supportive, reliable, curious, validating, and straightforward. I lead with cultural humility in my work and am passionate about advocating for open dialogues in providing a safe space to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities as it’s relevant to our work.
I blend narrative, person-centered, and solutions-focused techniques, effectively supporting clinicians seeking client consultation. I balance this approach with exploring self-care strategies to ensure long-term sustainability.
FEES
The fee for each individual supervision/consultation session is $160.00 for a duration of 50 minutes. I can sometimes negotiate a reduced fee for those not getting reimbursed or covered by an agency. There is no charge for completing evaluations for the Boards, unless we need to meet individually about licensee’s progress or status.
